Il Bottegone ISO Restoration

Il Bottegone, ISO Restoration, sits in Clusone, a quiet town tucked in the green Bergamo Alps.

ISO, the famed automobile manufacturer, was forced to shut down in the mid-1970s during the oil crisis, but one man kept its legacy alive. Il Bottegone, ISO Restoration, sits in Clusone, a quiet town tucked in the green Bergamo Alps. The company’s founder, Roberto Negri, was once an engineer and test driver for ISO Rivolta. When the brand closed, he became the sole proprietor of its entire inventory: spare parts, windows, chassis, and even original construction drawings. With this archive and a team made up largely of former ISO employees, the workshop can restore or maintain cars exactly as they left the factory.
